Designex

I'm back! As I mentioned, last week I headed off to Sydney to attend Designex (an Interior Design Exhibition). I managed to get a few photos (sorry quality isn't great....photos are taken on my handbag camera) before they made the announcement that no photos were to be taken.....opps!

Here's a very excited me about to go in!

We heard Jamie Durie talking about Luxescaping (in lieu of Landscaping). He was very interesting to listen to....I wonder if he would come to regional Victoria to do our landscaping???

Hugh came with me as well.....I kept trying to cover his face so he would sleep, but he was desperate to look at everything until he couldn't keep his little eyes open! Maybe I have a budding little architect on my hands!

There were so many amazing things to see.....I just wish I was able to take more photos! I found some fantastic children's wallpaper and I'll post on that in the near future!

And perhaps you are wondering why my blog still isn't 'pretty'?! Well I am having MAJOR drama's with photoshop.....but I'm working on it!

Sophisticated Nursery

You may have seen this nursery recently, but I just love it so I wanted to bring it to your attention if you didn't see it (I'm a follower of Lauren's blog & love reading it)!

Lauren from Pure Style Home is an Interior Designer and recently created this nursery for her son Justin. I love the owls (of course!) and the gorgeous colour on the walls!

Lauren made this gorgeous canopy.

This little nook is a fantastic idea! Making an older sibling feel a part, this is on my list for our next bub.

I have a serious case of the doldrums today.....I have so much to do, I'm not sure where to start so just sitting on the couch instead! How sad, I even have Days of our Lives on!

Road Trip

Next week we are heading to Sydney for Designex and also to visit my brother.....what are your suggestions for 'must do's' with kids in Sydney? We are going to go to Taronga Zoo one day, but haven't really planned anything else.

Retro Chic!

OmG! I had to bring these fantastic little prints to your attention! Paul Thurlby from the UK does retro alphabet prints that are so very cool.....oh and I just remembered I have a way of getting them direct! One of my BFF's is in the UK now on holidays (sob sob, yes how dare she leave us behind!)....might just need to send her an email to pick me up a couple!

Ok, now I'm going back to lovingly gaze at each image to decide which one/s I want. I really think I'm going to have to have 50 children to keep up with all these design idea's I'm having.....although don't forget I do on-line consultations if you want a nursery done!

Pretty in pink

I have to admit, pink has never really been my favorite colour.....having said that my bridesmaids wore pink at our wedding! Even when I was planning Hugh's nursery (who by the way I was convinced was a girl right through my pregnancy), I had trouble getting my head around the possibility of using pink but these lovely nurseries show how to stylishly use a pop of pink.

Another sneak peak

I'm so excited about how HOT this room (our sitting room/office) is looking so far I had to put up a little pic of what I've been up to today. This room wasn't on my 'to do' list but I just couldn't help it.....paint is my best friend!

I can't wait until I've finished it....but it will have to wait until later now! I've got very important mothers group business to attend!

I'm back!

I've been on a bit of hiatus....I don't know how I did it but I went over my internet GB quota and boy did the net slow down! But I'm back now (until next week when I head to Sydney to go to Designex to see all the latest and greatest in Design....we are staying with my brother and his wife where I'll be playing with lots of colours for their new house!) and back to all thing nursery!

It's finally here!

My logo!!!!! After nagging and nagging and then some more nagging, my husband sat down and did it for me today! We're still working on bits for the blog but at least that one's out of the way!

Sick Baby

Ohhhh sick baby, Hugh's at the end of the virus now but doesn't he look miserable. Poor thing, he's not a super snugly baby but he was on this day.....having lots of cuddles with mummy!

Happy Easter!

This Easter is our first year in our own home with our first baby and I decided to get extravagant (read the sarcasm) and do an 'Easter egg tree' as my husband calls it! This is the result......

I'm hoping to have a prettier looking blog by the end of next week (although my husband thinks the logo I'm working on looks like a demented canary - gosh he's encouraging isn't he?!) but in the mean time, have a lovely Easter break!
